For the first time, golfers who have achieved a Hole-in-One in Marina Bay Golf Course were invited to participate in the inaugural MBGC Challenge held on 26 December 2008. This year’s theme, “A Challenge to the Hole-in-Oners”, saw a total of 20 Hole-in-Oners in a friendly competition with my golf kaki union members and union leaders.

It was a significant day for the Hole-in-Oners as they were not only presented with Hole-in-One certificates from Special Guest Mr Lim Boon Heng, Minister in Prime Minister’s Office, they also received hearty congratulations of Guest-of-Honour Mr Lim Swee Say, Secretary-General of NTUC for winning the Team category. 

Hole-in-Oners, Mr Goh Gek Cheong and Mr Lim Kwee Song also did not disappoint by respectively winning first and second places of the Individual category in the Stableford competition. my golf kaki member, Richard Tan got third place in the close match.

Overall, participants enjoyed themselves. Besides being treated to fun novelty games, and a chance of getting a Hole-in-One at Holes 2, 9, 13 and 15, all who stayed for the buffet lunch got to take home a personalized brochure and a Lucky Draw prize.
