The Legends Escapade,22 Sept 2009
Participants were in for a fun and relaxing time as they set off for the Legends Escapade over the long Hari Raya weekend. Having started off early, the coach arrived in Malaysia with time for the participants to enjoy their lunch at a brief stopover before we headed towards the Legends Golf and Country Resort. Though it was our second visit, the golfers were excited for a chance to experience the newly opened Arnold Palmer Palm Course this time round.
Along with the spectacular 3,326 metre 9-hole course, the stableford tournament also took place on the Jack Nicklaus Course. Despite the rain at the onset, participants kept their spirits high and the tournament proceeded smoothly. Having enjoyed the well-designed course and natural green settings, participants were treated to a delicious 7-course dinner, interesting game and lucky draw. As the tournament results came in, it was golfer Woon Chin Heo who emerged victorious with 40 points while first and second runner-up places went to David Tan and Yeo Chiat Yong respectively. Nearest to Pin and Longest Drive prizes were respectively won by Kok Tek Choy and Koh Jit Chua.
