Last 23 January, my golf kaki members as well as their family and friends retreated to historical Malacca in a one-day joint event with Orchid Country Club. It was an early start to the day as eager participants gathered early in the morning at Orchid Country Club for the coach transfer.
The first stop of the day was at Ah Koon Fish Ball Noodle, approximately 1 hour into the journey, before feasting on Homemade Baba & Nyonya Laksa and Kueh Pie Tee. It was fortunate that the weather was nice and sunny which prompted a walk over to nearby Jonker Street. After the pre-requisite stops at tourist shops and to view various knick knacks, participants were ushered to taste other local delicacies like Hainanese chicken rice ball and Nyonya Kueh.
The trip would not be complete without a visit to well-known local establishment Tan Kim Hock where, much to the delight of the participants, the icy cool Durian Cendol served provided much-needed relief from the heat of the day. The day ended with a 10-course Chinese dinner at Johor Bahru, on the way back to Singapore.
my golf kaki would like to thank all participants for their great support in this event. Much thanks is also extended to MST Golf Pte Ltd and Orchid Country Club for making this event possible. See you next time!
