02 MEET OUR EVENT WINNERS

BATAM SOCIAL GOLF SPECIAL
TERING BAY GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB
Much to golfers’ delight, my golf kaki organised a
golf getaway to nearby Batam island. Limited to
40 golfers, the social golf outing was a fun way
for participants to know fellow kakis, as well as to
widen their golfng circle.
After a 45-minute ferry ride, the participants
promptly arrived at Tering Bay Golf & Country Club
for a shotgun start at 9am, followed by a late lunch
and lucky draw. By 5pm, participants were well on
their way back to Singapore from their enjoyable
day trip.

The morning thunderstorm was a blessing in disguise
as the clouds cleared in time for the start of August
Medal. The sunny skies drew cheery sentiments from
participants as they proceeded for their tee-off. Jose
Leon scored an exceptional 4 over par to take home
the overall best gross trophy. The evening ended with
the anticipated lucky draw segment and the cheers
grew louder as it neared the top prizes. Some golfers
even cheekily poked fun at their fellow kakis who won.
